Facts About LTC

There is greater need to plan for your long-term care because:

  1. Families are living farther apart from one another.
  2. Couples are having fewer children.
  3. Those children are more likely to be working full-time, while caring for their own children.
  4. People are living longer and are at a greater risk of outliving their savings.
  5. The advances in medicine have reduced our chances of dying due to those illnesses, accidents and major medical problems that would have killed us a generation ago.  So, we are able to live a great deal longer, but often with a chronic condition which results in our need for intermediate or custodial care.
